Weather conditions: |

Breeding conditions:

Arctic Foxes were not seen, and no active dens were found in vicinities. A single Snowy Owl was recorded, while skuas were rare. Birds of prey were common, but mostly represented by Rough-legged Buzzards. About one-third of territorial birds were breeding, and their food remains and pellets contained almost exclusively rodents. A single pair of Peregrine Falcons was found in the area, but their chicks presumably died during storm in the end of July. This storm, probably, had much heavier impact on birds of prey and passerines, than on waders, although some of their broods with yet not flying chicks should have died. Chicks of some wader species (Ringed Plover) had already been starting to fledge by the moment of the storm. Among breeding waders Ringed Plover, Temminck's Stint, Red-necked Phalarope, Ruff and Wood Sandpiper had high numbers, while Golden Plover was far less common.
